My collection is sort of like the above.
What are your must haves?
Good acoustic, tele, something with P90s. Everything above that is nice to have, but not vital to me.
An' a SG...
Gotta have an SG!
My Must Haves are simple: Must Have MORE.
Gretsch Country Gentleman
es 335, jazzmaster...
No Les Paul, if it wasn't for my Hello Kitty strat, I wouldn't have a strat...
A good acoustic 6 and 12 string, and a beater acoustic for street corners.
Lots of P90's.... P90's.... Mmm... P90's....
A couple token 57 PAF guitars (SG & Flying V)
Yeah that will do....
To my ears this Leo-era ASAT covers all the bases sonically….

Gotta have a bit of variety and enough so you can think about swapping. Otherwise you couldn't look at guitars all the time.
This is my set. Both acoustics and the strat have been gigged.
When I went to buy my first electric I was set on getting a tele - but came home with the strat. It took some swaps to get the right tele and hb guitar after that.
SG with P90s
Diversity is good ... missing is a nice shredder
I have a les paul, a Tele, a strat and a junior. I LOVE a single dog ear p90. That and it takes a beating, smokey bars, nicks and drops like a tank.
Gibson humbucker guitar
12 string acoustic
I think that's all the food groups.
A Telecaster, a Stratocaster, a Jazz bass, a P bass, and a couple different size acoustics. Covers all the bases I want to cover.
I NEED a Chester (Gretsch Chet Atkins), Lester (Gibson Les Paul), and Telecaster (with B bender).
I also need a great steel string acoustic, nylon string, and bass.
I have more great guitars and basses than I need.
I only lack the nylon string, I have a Yamaha NTX700 in my sights.
For me a Tele and an acoustic guitar would get me through every musical situation I want to be involved in ... ;-)
Tele, les paul, sg, 335, jazzer, 12 string, acoustic and 12 string acoustic, no strat for me because I don't like them.
LP or humbucker-loaded set-neck
I used to have a 335-type (Sheraton in my case) in there, but I never play it. Same thing with a P90 loaded LP Special.
That said, a Tele with a four-way switch and an acoustic are all I really need.
P90s and a big Guild jazz box
I recently had to admit to myself that I can get all of the tones I love out of only three of my guitars - My Tele with the Harmonic Design P90 style pups, my FMT Tele with the SD 59 pups and my acoustic. The rest are just eye candy at the moment and I rarely ever touch them nowadays.
