It was a standard in our folk club in the '60s revival. I'm just now listening to a playlist/CD called "Rogues Gallery" a collection of sea songs, that includes some interesting stuff by the likes of Sting and Nick Cave. It includes the Martin Carthy version of "Hogeye Man"

Chuff and a half here. I've had mine for a month and I think its single best purchase I've made in a couple years. The perfect practice amp.

Chuffed - delighted, pleased, self-satisfied, very happy with.......

Not Half (pronounced "not arf") - is not a half or any other fraction, not a fake or imitation, there is no denying that this is absolutely the real deal.

Not arf chuffed - the realisation that this is the Dogs B****s, and the desire to let the whole world know.

'Not half chuffed' means exactly the same a 'half chuffed'.

Naturally. If one half is chuffed, the other half isn't.

I bought the original partly because it has the bass and flat models. Definitely a great piece of gear for me.

'Not half chuffed' <> 'half chuffed'

That's why it begins with "Not"

Both "chuffed" and "Not arf" were in regular use in the 70's, and occassionally used together. 'half chuffed' is meaningless, no-one uses the term.
