I'm assembling a hybrid Wolfgang/ Telecaster soon but don't know yet which pickguard to custom design on.

The first looks Jazzmaster/Jaguar-ish... I prefer it.

The second complements the body shape better. I'd even try a bigger upper arc

Both are cool. The second one gets my vote though.

Progress report. I'm thinking of cutting the pickguard horns near the control plate and make it look like a Tele pickguard, adding a humbucker notch near the bridge pup. Whatcha think guys?

Paint job done. Guitar tech overlooked the hole for the mini preamp board just below the neck pickup...

That's going to be an awesome guitar!

I like your new pickguard design, but if it were me, I'd square it off at the bottom about where a tele guard ends. For some reason, that little diagonal stub looks odd to me.

Decided to use ebony this time as all my guitars before this are maple board equipped

Square you meant something like this?

I think your design is better than that! It's growing on me, too. But what I meant was straight across from the top of the bridge pickup.

Gotcha. On that note, I'd have another pickguard based on your description. Thanks for the tip!

Beautiful! I love that sunburst with the pine body. The pickguard turned out great, too.
