    Yoikes!

Looks like the builder took too much acid at the circus and never returned!

If it is then they've gone to a lot of trouble to photoshop the wires to be different colours. :)

That amp in the first post is wired nothing like any original tweed that Inhave ever seen. There are two reasons why Leo would not have built an amp in that manner. First, he would have wanted to have control over any inducted noise, and secondly he would not have wasted money by using three times as much wire as needed to build the circuit.
It would be interesting to see the entire circuit. If it is as messy as the left end of the work, it old likely be a nightmare both from a Sonic aspect and form a serviceability aspect. It would take almost as much time to make that amp correct as it took to build it, imho.

I'm no amp builder, but I see what appears to be a solid state rectifier and small capacitors so old I wouldn't use them.

If you search High Power Tweed Twin on Reverb, it'll be near the top. It looks like I gave my kids 3 cans of Silly String and 5 seconds to do their worst.

I'm a sucker for a cheap price and at $650 if it had the correct foot long HPTT OT and sounded great like a HPTT should I'd be awfully tempted.

I'm going to guess it has the cheapest parts that work though, and doesn't have the correct OT.
Might fall short on the sounds great part as well...

Four Weber Signature 10 speakers add up to 60 Watts that needs to handle an 80 Watt amp. C.J. Sutton at Weber once told me the Sig 10s have slightly higher Wattage voice coils as a safety factor, but my guess is that if you run this amp wide open for very long you're going to smoke 'em.

I was wondering about that but not sure about those speakers, just knew they are pretty much the cheapest weakest 1" vc decent tens on the market.
Cheap and weak being a desirable feature if you want that ragged speaker effect.

WRT the HPTT 80 watt rating with 12ay7, I'd guess that was fairly accurate, and that it would exceed that wattage with 12ax7 and at full distorted volume?
