Hi folks. I have a chance to get a wildwood 10 dealer select 1962 Telecaster Custom for under 3 grand. Has anyone here had the opportunity to try one of their select models? The specs on this are everything i love. Buying sight unseen is nerve wracking. It has josifina handwounds, weighs 6.5,full C profile and she looks lovely. I have other custom shop Telecasters and love them, but these seem to be a whole different level, perhaps equal to a master built.

I visited the Wildwood shop in Louisville, CO a couple of weeks ago. I played this one, the 10-inch neck radius was a little wide for me (... and it was $5k.); guitar weighed 6.04 lbs, I was tempted. Good luck:)

Good honest folks at Wildwood and good set up guys too. If you really want the guitar I can’t think of better guys to get it from.

I don't have Dealer Select Tele but I do have two Dealer Select Strats. One is a relic and the other is NOS. They are both superb. The 57 NOS Strat is probably my favorite guitar. I have bought all of my Custom Shops from Wildwood. They are great folks who treat customers well.

Get the serial number off of it and see if they ever did a video demo o this particular instrument, that could help you make a decision :D

I own one. Wildwood is only a few miles from my house. The guys there are absolutely first rate. The guitars are set up by techs from the best luthier I've ever worked with. I would buy sight unseen from Wildwood 24/7. I'd be interested to hear what you think.

You won’t regret it. And if by some chance you do, send it this way.

Congrats! Looking forward to more pics and a rundown.

It came today. The pictures just can't capture the depth of this burst. Real full "C" profile. Fantastic fretwork, with no sign it has ever been played. The joseifina pickups made my eyes open wide. Loud as hell, but toneful and very detailed. I don't know what the cap is under the hood yet,but its perfect. Volume and tone/wha/swells are what you want them to be. As i mentioned,i have other nice custom shop telecasters, but this really is another level. I have owned 3 real nice vintage ones in my life, and this is better. Im not kidding. I know they are pricey, but the market is what it is. Im getting old and Telecasters make me almost as happy as my grand kids!! I can say in all honesty that these wildwood dealer select 10 models, are in a class by themselves. got some picking to do now.

Well i spotted it on ebay where it was priced high..but had "make an offer". I did and it was accepted.we communicated back and forth about an approval period, which was a must for me. He was really cool and lives 2 hours away. I pulled the trigger. Its in mint condition. I got lucky....plain and simple.

Fantastic! Yours looks much better than all of the heavy reliced ones currently at Wildwood. It's stunning.
