So, I'm about to order a custom neck for my Deluxe. The old one is fine but I don't like the back profile (it hurts my hands). I'm getting a Warmoth neck with 1 11/16" (in case I ever want to put on a roller nut, plus my MIM Tele has 1 11/16" and I like it) with a "Clapton" V profile.

It just dawned on me that I can't name a single other company that makes "custom" necks. I know of places like Allparts and the like where you can buy licensed replacements, but that's about it..

So, are there any? Or is Warmoth just so awesome that no one can compete? haha..

Anyone else play with V-necks? I've played on guitars with them a few times in the stores but couldn't afford what they were attached to. I love my Deluxe so I'm essentially just making it better for myself. Mojo pickups are next after that. :D

Whatever neck you decide on, make sure it is " goiter free."

Wow, they seem like really great people judging from how "human" their site is! Love it! Might have to price out a neck with them out of curiosity...

I sent USACG an e-mail with some specs. We'll see what they say.

If your ever in Puyallup, Washington you can visit both USA Custom Guitars and Warmoth Custom Guitars in a matter of 12 or 15 minutes, since they are just a few miles from each other.

Turns out USACG can't do my 3-bolt micro-tilt. :( Sad cause Tommy seems like a cool cat. I'll remember for future projects, though. Someday I need a Marc Rutters body, and I think a USACG neck would be the perfect mate!

I'm going to end up going Warmoth just because they have all of the options I want. Musikraft has mostly the same options but greater cost for what I want.

Now someone just needs to buy my neck so I can place my order! Come onnnn ebay!
