Hey! First post, glad I stumbled upon this place. You all have some outrageously beautiful Teles.

Whiteguard and 'green guard' Teles/Esquires drive me wild - here are a few pics of my '55 Esquire, I thought it would be fun to have a thread with all vintage whiteguards!

Mine is mid 1955, silver logo but has the non-staggered, early flat pole pickup. Kind of a transitional model, still has the more 'butterscotch' finish but w/ white guard.

    Let's see your whiteguards!

    Welcome!:)

One of the best looking Esquires I've seen!

Unless the guitar is an early 50's (1950-53) Butterscotch, a white pickguard is always my first choice.

Hi welcome to the forum. Good to see that beautiful Esquire is decently dressed in it's Ashtray cover :)

Beautiful guitar! Welcome to the TDPRI, and thanks for making such a good thread as your first.

Here's my contribution. Mine is a 1960 Esquire. It belonged to a Grammy winning session guitarist in the early 90s, made its way to Sweden where I bought it a couple years ago on vacation. I walked into a shop just to browse, with no intent to buy a guitar (let alone one I had to finance) but I just couldn't walk away from it. Its a real joy to behold and play. I had to make payments on it for a few years, but it was well worth it :D

I sure would like to see a full length shot of the guitar in the OP...

Hey, just thought I'd try to revive this thread a bit - I'm dying to see other member's white guard Teles! Any to share?

Beautiful combo - rosewood board with white guard and blonde. Perfection. Worth making payments on for sure!
