Not having is not the same as needing.
If I were to get a "lawsuit"-type doublecut, I'd probably go for an Ibanez Artist, before a Yammy SG.
But given as both are not sonically any different than a Les Paul Doublecut, and that I do already have a Les Paul Doublecut, I doubt I'll be getting either one.
Something with P90s
So I'm apparently looking for an offset.
This - I haven't played this, but I want to.
and This -
Don't think I'm GASing for a guitar ATM, other than a True Vintage Telecaster. Still I'm not loosing sleep over it. I have tweed amp GAS bad though.
I've been thinking I "need" an LP (hah, I NEED to finish my 708798 projects first) I was at a GC the other day, and they had a "Les Paul Studio Lite" from the early 90's. It was light (duh) and sounded GREAT. It did have a weird "clown burst" kinda finish, but whatever. After reading up on them, apparently they're hollowed-out Mahogany bodies, stuffed full of "Chromyte", or Balsa wood to us... Man that thing sounded great though. And apparently lots of Grunge-era artists dug them for the extra "grunt" they got with the Lite LP's.

Custom shop Maple neck Stratocaster

GASsing for a Travis Bean TB1000S.
Though officially, I'm not GAS'ing, unofficially, I still covet a real 1968 Les Paul Custom.
Has to be real, not a reissue.
Ain't going to happen at 20 large.
Fender Stratocaster in Graffiti Yellow, rosewood board.
Gassing for this and I now I own it. Teye Super Coyote!!
A vintage white tele with a white pickguard and rosewood fingerboard.
A jazzmaster, either sonic blue or burgundy mist.
I take it back...sort of.
The flavor of the week is now a sonic blue roadhouse strat with those Texas specials.
I have a 2009 Jeff Beck Custom Shop Stratocaster in Surf Green with a holding deposit on it.
Also a 2015 Olympic White American Standard Stratocatser with CS pickups with a deposit on it also...
I haven't told my wife but will fess up soon.
I know she likes surf green...it's the color we painted the front door.
Real nice surf green Tele a few links back!
Two Rock Studio Pro 35
Epiphone Zephyr Blues Deluxe
Last night I was watching a Tom Petty concert that recorded earlier. So many cool guitars, but now I have a slight case of Ric GAS. Too bad I don't know the first thing about them.
This - a Gretsch Brian Setzer in Orange.
It's so full on.. like nothing else I have.
My (imaginary) Gretsch Acquisition Fund was all spend on overseas family holidays. The bank account is, ahem, still recovering. I can't complain they were lovely, but.... I think if I owned this I would have to lock myself away for a few days in my music room to full immerse myself. Isn't it spectacular?
Another one not actually Gassing, but coveting many: A Martin D18; a Johnny Marr Jag; a Brian Setzer Gretsch; a Ric 360/12; a good acoustic 12 string and last, but not least a good quality Weissenborn.
