I just recently bought an allparts Pink Paisley tele body on eBay for a great deal. I'm not in the process of sourcing out the rest of the parts i'll need to finish the build. One in particular i'm having trouble finding is a clear pickguard with the pink shading around the neck pickup rout, so as to hide the routing beneath the pickguard.

    something like this

If i'm unable to find one, does anybody know how to do this kind of paint job DIY??

    Any info is much appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Joel

I think you csn get a plain clear one from guitarpartsresource.com I would airbrush the pink on.

Also, check ebay for a guard.

I'd call up Terrapin and Pickguardian and have a chat with them.

I'd be surprised if they couldn't accommodate you.

I got a Paisley from Japan made in the late 80's I replaced the stock pickups with pickups out of a MIA 52 reissue. When I went to put the pick guard on, the pink paint chipped in several places, just from contact with the lipstick pickup. I decided to remove the paint, which I did with a towel and Windex and use the clear guard without the paint. Looks great to me, I think it's better.

Any luck finding one? I have a 5 hole but need an 8 hole like fender used to offer.

Just because I like updates. I ordere a clear 8 hole and got some paint and did it myself. It came out really good for a first try. The nice thing is that the pain easily wipes up and you can shape the halo and overspray.
