Is sort of a cover of ( both Eno )
Bauhaus did a cracking good cover too.
All three versions have their own merit. It was Bauhaus that switched me on to Eno/801
I can never choose: "I Heard It Through the Grapevine"-- Gladys, Marvin or Creedence?
He did, but Billy admits he lifted the first couple lines from Paul Simon.
Odd, that someone would choose that Kirsty release - possibly my least favorite thing she did. Great song, basically savaged.
Harrison and Havens, obviously did impeccable versions of "Here Comes the Sun".
And here is the worst version you have ever heard and the worst Nina Simone recording as well, you have ever heard. Drugs are bad!
Gladys!...I've heard the others tooo much.
Now here's a quality match...Geoff Muldaur and Joe Tex. Joe's got the better voice but Geoff's more ah...emphatic.
Kirsty's version hit the alt FM radio over here first and was very popular....... I didn't know Billy wrote it until I saw him playing it live..and he explained.... and praised Kirsty's version....
Two good antidotes to the blooze..
