What's your rig? You get 1 amp, 1 guitar, and 1 pedal.

    Dual Humbucker strat(JB bridge, Jazz neck), 22 fret neck, Marshall DSL 40 and the footswitch that comes with.
    All I really need, nothing I do not.

    Some really nice choices in this thread.

    I'd settle in with:

    Epiphone Special Junior (modified with after market pickup, new pots, and push/pull split ... hehehe).
    Peavey Bandit on the clean channel.
    Two Boss DS-1s welded together into a single six-knob boutique pedal.

    I once heard a story about a famous headlining band were at an all weekend event and while waiting for their set to start they wandered around and were amazed at a tone they heard from one of the secondary stages. They hurried over and saw a guy with a simple guitar, a bandit, and a single pedal. They laughed at their own insecure need for the stacks of racks and flight cases of guitars. I aspire to be that guy with one guitar, one amp, and one pedal -- and the ability of inspired playing.

    My 2016 amstd tele into a rockerverb mkIII. Can't think of any pedal I'd have a huge need for other than the footswitches for the amp.

    I'm think something like this:
    ASAT Classic > Fulltone Fulldrive > Tone King Falcon Grande, if my budget was unlimited!

    oh this is easy because i have two main rigs that are three essential pieces

    my #1 tele -> double hotcake -> ac15 or 30

    my #1 tele -> ts9 -> jmp 50w

    but honestly the jmp doesn’t need any pedals, i plug straight in and it does everything i need

    I have everything I need:

    Vox AC 15

    Les Paul Traditional (or any good humbucker LP, really)

    Boss SD-1

    Um... does a Snark count as a pedal?

    Hopefully such a travesty never happens to me. But if it did I'd keep a 78 Tele, a 76 SFTR and a Snark tuner.
    I'd whine and complain every time I had to carry that SFTR when all I really need is a Princeton. But I'm at the age where complaining is a big part of my day anyhow.

    Guitar: I honestly don't know what guitar. I like the feeling of the neck and body of an SG the most, but I like the tonal versatility of a Tele the most. Maybe I need a P90 SG
    Amp: Super Reverb
    Pedal: DL4

    AMP: My Tiny Terror clone with ultra linear mode and mods
    GUITAR: Stratocaster
    PEDAL: My 2-knob optical compressor

    In truth, I'd really miss my semi-hollow body and my Tele but a Strat would give me a lot of versatility to make up for not having the other guitars. The Tiny Terror has a master volume and a gain control so there's no need for a dirt pedal and the optical compressor controls a lot of the brightness of the strat and adds sustain so I should be good to go with that package. I can go from big box jazz or blues to AC/DC without a lot of fuss.
