2nd is the only one I can wind out legally, but reverse is straight cut and whines like a Group B car.

My 2wd Honda 420cc Ranchers will pull a wheelie in second from a dead idle.
    Given the traction.
I also love the 2nd-3rd shift with the front tires in the air.
Just can't let the kids see me do it.
    They don't need any ideas.
I honestly don't get to use 4th or 5th much here at the farm.
No need for top end speed.

197B1E63-275A-48D1-9DEE-AFB2B58BAA27.jpeg My humble GT’s only weak link is the tranny. It’s not really designed for a lotta torque, and while it does OK I baby it a tiny bit at 24 years of age and at least 20 years of my ownership. So slamming it in 1st isn’t as common as honking her in 2nd. The old sow has me in cop trouble fast in either case.

On the hilly country roads here or doing the big mountain passes in Switzerland, I admit I do enjoy living in 2nd and 3rd.

It’s even better in a hire car. I don’t push the red line in my own cars.
