    Well...

    It's kind of a mini-movie binge.
If you like martial arts I'd suggest "Ip Man" 1/2/3.
I"m a gg/bg guy (good guy/bad guy) and like martial arts entertainment.
If you don't know who Ip Man is you may not be that interested. :)
We watched them a couple of times over the years, re-viewed 1/2 last night and will hit #3 tonight.
They are family friendly in the language department.

We also liked "The Punisher" series with John Bernthal although it only went two seasons and was cancelled. (snarl)

Anyway, just thought I'd throw those out if you/family are "gg/bg" peoples. :)

    A good day to all....

I actually tried the closed captions.....problem is, I find them (like subtitles) too distracting, and I can't focus on and appreciate the visuals.
What I try to do now is.....I connected a forty watt stereo amp and bookshelf speakers to the TV, set the treble all the way up, and the bass to about 50%, and that "helps" with some of the low frequency noise and stuff.
Really what I need is for British audio techniques to "catch up"......or American writing and acting to equal the Brits. ;)

We did Broadchurch not too long ago. Good, in a British way. Gave True Detective a try, but gave up early in season 2. Kominsky Method was good.

i rewatched a few episodes of the sopranos awhile ago. man, i was so impressed with what AWFUL freaking people they were! i like to think of the comparison between tony soprano and walter white. i have to admit, tony's lifestyle was somewhat enviable, but walter's life was miserable in almost every way. tony ate and drank good, had many beautiful women, had power over other men. walter rose up and made lots of money, but lost everything along the way. plus, he got his a$$ beat several times. i could sort of relate to tony's life, but i could not be walter white.

the 2d season of true detective was bad, nobody liked it at all. the 3d season wasn't bad, for sure better than the 2d season, it was at least watchable, but nowhere as good as the 1st season.

Amazon Prime has The Marvelous Mrs Maziel. Season one was pretty good

Usually anything crime or thriller. Today I have had some of the old Streets of San Francisco on the television.
