There are piezo transducers under the bridge, since the guitar will have nylon strings (its a 1/2 size guitar for my fiancée's niece). Yeah, the inlay is made from purpleheart. I'm going to add a small carved logo to the headstock.

    Best regards

Outstanding. I almost thought there might be a pickup built in but felt even dumber asking. That's outstanding.

My buddy showed up with some old epi in a terrible condition. Mocked him for having got it when he has a good acoustic already

Turns out his father in law died over Christmas and while he was there he was passed the deceased's guitar as a precious heirloom. I wish I knew that before I mocked it, but volunteered to look at it whilst he goes dealing with the grieving etc

The neck has had a very heavy break with a messy repair, but I went over every aspect of it that I could, the main problem being a backbow and stuck truss rod. A couple of hours of meddling and everything is now as good as I can make it. Sounds surprisingly nice w 12 gauge D'addarios on it and proper neck relief...

So what timber are the sides, and how easy did it bend? Looks like a great job so far.

Thanks. 2mm thick Rosewood. And it smelled great. Bent easily.

Your rosewood looks a lot blacker than what is available where I am, we tend to use New Guinea rosewood which is a lot lighter and redder than those sides of yours. Going to be a good unit! All the best for 2018.

Happy New Year to you all. Cheers to a healthy and prosperous 2018!

Been out of the shop for a while now. Today I’ll get the base welded up for this slab table. It’s a gift for my father. It’ll be a New Years gift and not a Christmas present now...

Nothin like a slab of Bambi, spiced up, and roasted to perfection! And with bacon, even. You sure know how to make a guy’s mouth water, Herb.:cool: Mmmmm.

It was pretty tasty for sure Rick . I've never had loin done that way before , usually I just do butterfly steaks fried in olive oil with onions but my daughter in law sent me this recipe and it looked good . There were no left overs . ;)

I think one of Rob's monkeys, the one that left with the dancer, still has them.

Makes sense. I heard that the vice squad raided the Tiki Lounge on Christmas Eve. Prolly was the monkeys again.

My wife is an avid needle point stitcher. She's been wanting an adjustable stand, so I built it for her for her birthday.
