Thinking mandolin. Using Siminoff's book and Loar plans from American Lutherie I'd like to build a mando with a slightly wider neck.

Took a old Doug Fir board yesterday and got enough pieces to make an outside mold. Just ran these through the planer....

Once I get the templates cut out, I'll cut out the inside of this two piece mold-to-be.

Too cold in the basement now to glue the mando top. May have to make an insulated box and use a heater to get the temp up towards 90 degrees.

Can't upload pics for some reason. Keep getting a message that a "security token" is missing. Any ideas?

Thinline body. Just needs neck bolt holes drilled, Neck pocket, and Jack cup hole drilled and then a quick sanding before that is off to a new owner.

Mom's Christmas present. A mantle style 4 drawer coat hanger made from my Ash stock (for thinlines)

A chord concealing box to hide the nest of cables, power strips, and chords under my tv.

The necks for my kids guitars (fretted, need fret job still, bodies in the basement getting finished) and a marking knife/scratch awl set with kingwood handles.

    What's on my bench

I really have to focus in and complete some projects. My intention is to have 5 guitars ready for the guitar swap meet and sale next May in moncton.

A giant pile of customer/personal amps that have been returned becuase of bad tubes by "JJ". This is starting to get frustrating.

Sawmilling some of this stuff into useful blanks. 4/4 walnut and cherry. 3 figured cherry crotch slices big enough for 1pc. tops and about 60 bd/ft of 4/4 walnut, most pieces 10ft. long. The short pieces stacked on top were not included in the 60bd/ft, those were a freebee.

Walnut/pine body about to get top binding & tru-oil.

This one needs the binding gaps filled with acetone & final sanding & finish:

A Korina top/Wenge/African Mahogany back laminated body is also the works.

I didn't. I bought a few of 'em on eBay about 10 years ago. I am, however, going to put a Peavey Super Ferrite pickup in there, so I'm breaking out the patience and a coping saw. And a few files. And some sandpaper...:D
