Me too! I threw it in the trash in about '75. Only to learn many years later they were going on Ebay for $350!

Mine was a Crybaby, circa 1991, I think. I still have it, but I've switched out a pot or two, tweaked the travel a bit and generally made it sound better. Good times.

I got a no-name Japanese fuzz-wah for Christmas, I think it was 9th grade. It was awful.

My Dad bought me a Danelectro Fab Tone; the big red pedal for my 15th birthday. Don't use it much, but I still have it. That thing is heavy as a brick!

A Boss chorus pedal. Can't remember the model, I traded it to a friend for a Big Muff.

Ibanez AW5 Auto Wah and DOD Grunge purchased on the same day. Grunge was fun, the Auto Wah not so much.

Around '78, Dunlop Crybaby. Also around that time I had a Bee Baa Fuzz and a Phase 45.
I also remember how happy we were around '83 when the first Boss Digital Delays came out. Before that
most guys used the tape-driven Echoplexes and had to deal with the tape getting chewed up.

Still have the CryBaby. Wish I still had the BeeBaa! Sold it cheap when I got an MXR Distortion +.

I got my first electric setup ( at 17) in
    Summer 1976
    A new 1976 Les Paul Signature ( semi hollow, gold), and a Yamaha G-50 112 amp ( + case/ cable $500 for all!)

about a month after this, I bought a Cry Baby Wah Wah- my first pedal

Peavey Hotfoot Distortion. It's essentially a LM308 based Rat clone with an extra buffer. I still use it often and I like it better than newer Chinese mini pedal Rats.

Thomas Organ King Vox Wah, purchased in 1969 or so. Got good money for it in 1993.

I am an idiot because I've never found another wah as good to my ears.

Nope, not EVH. I think a friend had one and thought it was so cool. Used it on both of my main instruments back then - a Fender Rhodes elec piano and a Tele with the phase dial set at about 9am. Probably over-used it for a while.

EDIT: That old Phase 90 pedal is long gone. I bought the same pedal again acoupla years ago, modded a bit so it didn't run on battery. To my ear the re-issue sounds pretty much the same.
