What speaker for a Bassman combo?

Looking for opinions: I’m rehabbing a ‘67 Bassman, chassis is going into a 1x12 combo cabinet. Amp is serviced and no mods.
Can’t decide on an 8ohm 12” speaker. At 8ohms I’m figuring it’s putting out 35 watts give or take 5 watts either way, so I’m looking at at least a 50 watt speaker.
    Thoughts? Opinions?

I like the Creamback M 65 with my Tweed Twin. My bud likes Greenbacks with his Bassman. Celestion claims that the Creamback is a greenback that handles more power... I dunno about all that, but I would wager it would sound pretty good with a Bassman (I had a Bassman 50 for a while).

First, I am curious about the plan to place the chassis into a 1x12 cab. I think it might work better as a head unit, but if you already have a combo cab, then that makes sense as well. I like the Greenbacks and would also consiter a Texas Heat. I haven't tried a Texas Heat with a Bassman circuit, but it seems to go well with all the other Fender amps that I have.

I made a 1-12 Bassman combo a while back, I started with one of the Eminence Reinmaker speakers , 8 ohm.
Later I got a 4 ohm Weber 12F150 which I liked a lot better, more versatile, better clean tones and more headroom. I had a 67 Bassman chassis, and I am pretty sure that is a 45-50 watt amp.

Celestions Cream ALniCo. 90 watt speaker is the ultimate for your rig. You can turn it all the way up without worry.

    You will thank me.

Not really on subject but I have a '67 Bandmaster that became a 2-10 combo. I love that thing.

    Could try a WGS ET65...
