Like it says, what your personal favorite amp for clean sounds
My Tone King Imperial.
Out of all my amps it would have to be one of my Ampegs or a Guild Thunderbass
Fender pro tube twin amp
I have more than one, they all do different stuff. Lately I've been loving my modded VHT special 6 ultra. It's probably only putting out about 8 watts, but I can dime it with the tonestack bypass, and it still stays clean. Really nice sound, if you dont need too much volume.
I have a KittyHawk M1 that'll put a twin reverb to shame,(IMO) plus it has 3 gain channels.
Another one of my favorites is my 70's Dumble ODS clone. Another amp that blows away the industry standard, the Fender Twin, IMO. Way more flexible, too. This one doesn't have reverb, though you can just throw whatever you want in the FX loop.
And of course then there's the Hiwatt...
You're really going to make me pick a favorite?
Well, at least the consensus is that the Twin is the industry standard.
I know I'm not selling my 73...
But the thread title is ''what's your favorite'' and of course everyone has their own opinion and ears.
carvin nomad. clean channel rules
You're not lying! I had one of those amps years ago and you're right the clean channel was amazing
No words needed.
Tone King Falcon, rhythm channel, vol 3, Tone 4. Close second: Peavey Delta Blues, normal channel, bass 2, mid 3, treble 5.
My 65 Princeton reverb
Out of amps I've owned - Orange Dual Terror.
Out of amps I haven't owned - Blackface Fender.
My Carr Rambler.
Although I have an early 70s SF 50w Bassman into a Weber Cali 15" that's pretty darn awesome. It just doesn't have the killer tremolo and reverb that the Carr has.
I favor my 76 musicman 212 sixty-five
Carvin Belair 50 watt 2x12. Mine is from the 90's with a real spring reverb. Great clean tones.
Fender Super Reverb.
Or when that's not practical
BFTR-the gold standard.
This does it.
