what is that in the truss rod hole?

    It a telecaster Rod Plug. I am sworn to secrecy but suffice it to say its 50 shades of teh 70s from CBS

    Yeah....Fender provided a silver bullet with every guitar to help ward off the CBS werewolves....didn't help much, though.

    I bought that in 78 the year it came out ,I built 6 pick guards for it so I could keep the original safe while I played around with different pickups and wiring , I too love big head stocks on strats , it took a while to bond with her , but now we're in love!:lol::lol::lol:

    notice how thick the body is much thicker than my 96 and twice the weight
