Cake Taker. Congratulations. Nice instrument and a pleasure to see it.

I got the '73 Gold Top pictured in my avatar in '73 brand new. Still have it and still play it and it's still ready to go pro any time.

Sweet guitar. Looks like it's been well taken care of!

IMG_1367.JPG This Guild T100 is the oldest member of the herd. I bought it in 1985 for 200 clams. It was my gigging axe when I played in bands.

The first guitar I bought with my own money was a Yamaki dreadnought, in 1972.
It was a great sounding, easy to play guitar.
I don't recall whether it had a solid top.
    Your guitar was way fancier!

Since my nylon strung is at my Dad's house it would be my '92 Patrick Eggle New York..used to love it..not so much these days and it doesn't get played. Fantastically well built guitar for the money though!!

I've posted about this guitar here before, but it seems appropriate to mention it here...
I bought this 1961 Harmony Stratotone Jupiter second-hand when I was a student of 17 or 18 - which is 50 years ago now! I played it for a few years then sold it to a friend of my brothers so I could trade up to a '63 Strat. I forgot about the Harmony until my brother met his old pal at a funeral a few years ago, who mentioned he still had the guitar and would we like it back !! - turned out it had been in an attic for at least 20 years, but was in pretty good condition for all that. My brother and I have agreed to both be custodians of it now - it's too precious for just one person to own :0)

Yes, it's got a lot of character. This was the first track I wrote when I got it - all guitar parts are the Jupiter ...

Sounds great and snarly as all get out. Would make me want that and a 67 Supro Thunderbolt.
