What gear did you sell this year and what did you get with the money?

I have been inspired by the "What guitar did you buy this year" thread.
However, for reasons pertaining to finances, available storage space and the pursuit of domestic bliss, I usually have to sell something(s) to get something else.
Are you in this same boat with me?
If so, what did you sell and what did you do with the money?

    This past year I sold;

    Larrivee D-60 acoustic,
    1989 American Standard Strat,
1998 American Standard Big Apple Stratocaster,
Set neck Epiphone Les Paul special,
    1971 Fender Jaguar.

All were bought used over the last 10 or 12 years and I wasn't really playing any of them anymore.
I am very careful about only buying guitars that I feel I can re-sell and at least break even.
I am fortunate to have recouped my original investment and then some on all these.
With the combined profit I bought my brand spankin' new Gibson J-45 Standard.
    I am well satisfied.

    I sold a Taylor 12 string - solid mahogany top, back & sides - a beautiful guitar, a 562ce I think, that I simply wasn't playing.
It sold for $2.5K. I added some $$$ and turned around and bought a '57 Deluxe and a second American Pro Tele along with a set of Lollar Charlie Christian pickups.

I knew that I was going to add a guitar to the herd, so I finally decided after two years of contemplation, to sell my sweet '82 Yamaha SG800. So, I put it up for consignment at my favorite music store. They suspected it would sell in about a month and sure enough, 30 days later ... sold.

As I decided to downsize and streamline my main pedalboard, I sold a few pedals too. Tech 21 California, Boss A/B-2 and Boss LS-2.

Oh, and I sold a strat body.

Now that I think about it, I did good this year.:)

I've been more on the acquisition trail than anything this year but I did one significant trade.

Last year, as I started to gain impetus to actually learn a bit about playing the guitar, I bought a Gibson Les Paul "Peace" fitted with an e-tune gizmo. The colour was "tranquillity blue". It was stunning to look at and the '61 replica humbuckers sounded great. However, I found it very tail-heavy and couldn't seem to get it to balance / sit right. I also got irritated with the e-tune thing as (and I may be wrong) the guitar seemed to need tuning more than any other I've ever had.

Anyway, I was after an acoustic, so I went down to the local guitar shop. As the LP was as-new, I got a good deal and traded it for a Taylor 214ce-deluxe - which I really like. All I have to do now is learn how to play it properly!

Mine is simple and I got pixs. I tried to bond with this 1984 Westone Spectra Super Strat but just couldn't:>(

I had been wanting one of the Epi LP Special I's, so I sold the Westone and got that. Cheap but a great value IMHO. I bond with the Epi a lot better!

I’m in full-on “sell off” mode. I want to get down to one or two guitars, and just PLAY them, instead of spending all my time and energy collecting/modding them.
So far I’ve given 3 guitars away (Tele and
Strat partscasters, and a set-neck Strat copy) I sold a Rondo EB-2 style bass, a Hondo Jazz copy, a PRS semihollow, an Alvarez 335 copy, an LP Studio, and I parted out two partscasters. As far as the $, I used some of it to get a couple other guitars finished/set up so I could sell them, some parts to finish a couple other projects (that will go on the block when they’re done) and gave the rest of the $ to The Mrs to get presents for the kids this holiday. It was fun accumulating a dozen guitars, but I really don’t NEED that many.

I’ve had them both for 7 or 8 years and though they were beautiful guitars I never bonded with either. I then bought a PRS reclaimed CE 24 and a PRS Vela. Both incredible guitars that are being played a lot.

Sold my Variax 600, my old Boss PS-2 and an ancient cheap Coron Flanger (all through Reverb & PayPal with the resulting cut being taken by them of course!).

Added the money I got to the guitar fund... still saving for whatever comes next, with half an eye on a lap steel if I can’t justify adding a new guitar (since I mostly just play my Elite Tele!).
