Anyways, I keep seeing this thread popping up and I was doodling around on a few things this arvo, so finally got the chance to snap a few pics of my own...err....totally, chaotic (current) work space. :D

Love this thread. Thanks to all who have posted, suddenly, I feel so much better!

I'll take pics of my workshop... but seeing what I saw, it really is unimpressive.

    Cheers,

    Albert

The acoustic on the bench was a repair, but that's an old pic and I don't recall what got repaired . It's a pretty cool 12 string tho. The banjo was also a repair, I think I made a new tail piece for it.

I hope you do borrow the idea, that guitar got shipped to a completely different climate and it's been totally stable and remains very playable.

That's my old bait freezer. I was quite the fisherman for sometime, but sadly don't have a boat atm. :( Still got some old bait and stuff in it, but mostly keep the dog food in there now. And I chill down beer in it. :p

took 1/2" off that board to get it down to 1/4", its going to be a cap on a thin line style build. As much as I enjoy wood working I just wish I had a CNC for perfect and instant results. I'll persevere for now though.

I need some lesson from you on how to pull this off, without being sentenced to live in the dog house for the foreseeable future.

That is the hardest part of the operation, here's my top 3 tips,

    1) find a job that allows maximum alone time in the house. I work 6:00-14:00 and my girlfriend sometimes doesn't finish work till 20:00.

    2) Let her choose the final colour, remember you can always go back on your word.

    3) Put her name on the headstock. I managed to spaghettify her name (Elizabeth) and it looks pretty good.

Additional tip, choose a girlfriend named ANN or PAT, unless you're a master inlayer. And don't ever let your wife find out about her.

Currently looks like this. I usually clean it up every two months; have it like this for a week, and then it’s an unusable mess for the following weeks hahaha
