No, I don't keep any birds.
So everything is BS then. Cool.
To regain my sight, hearing and thick head of hair.
One lifelong wish has been to be able to sing. I mean really sing. Not make the noises I currently inflict on the innocents in the audience. In all honesty I think I sometimes sound like a Billy Goat tangled in a barbed wire fence.
This conclusion is not warranted from the preceding argument; just sayin.
To achieve enlightenment so I don't have to come back to this Godforsaken planet and do it all over again.
And to be less selfish.
Dude, you live in a country full of fifteen year old boys dressed like WWI German submarine sailors. How is a conclusion of “everything is BS” possibly not warranted?
I have pretty much all the parts to build one including the frame, but I still want to achieve enlightenment so I don't have to return to this Godforsaken, oh, never mind.
That made me laugh out loud — Thank you!
G => G, where G is Garbage!
(((G=> F) \/ G) => F) => F
I think he said, “F you!”
Think of it as the double negation of excluded middle, a tautology even in minimal logic.
Dropped your pick in the F hole?
Logic shows we just need to turn the guitar inside out!
Meant tongue in cheek. You referred to the basic idea of logic, internal consistency, as garbage (garbage in, garbage out) so I figured there was nowhere else to go with it.
There really wasn't much of an argument there to begin with. So we preceded with little to nothing, so far as I can tell.
Yeah. I was just saying that even internally-consistent logic, with care taken to avoid the long list of established logical fallacies, is still dependent on the starting point you choose: the underlying assumption, which may or may not be an examined one. If that underlying assumption is not shared between you and your audience, your logic will look kooky. It's not a failure of the procedure; it's a failure of the starting point. So I did not mean that the basic idea of logic was GIGO; I meant that even a good procedure can still yield bad results.
My internally-consistent logic has been failing so many underlying assumptions that I'm becoming convinced that none of my good procedures go unpunished...
Are you guys smoking the same cigarettes as me?
I wanna rock and roll all night. And part of every day...
