A red tortoise 'guard looks sweet to me on a white body. I prefer rosewood for fingerboards, but I'd swing toward maple here.
    Second preference would be parchment.
In equal third would come aged white/aged white pearloid, then three ply black or black pearloid.
White white doesn't work for me, maybe an aged white 3 ply with the black centre or a light mint green.

Smeg it. Invest in a range and try them out.

I'd do rosewood board and a cream pickguard for the shade you have there.

Here's an A\B comparison on the necks. Doesn't photograph well but looks good in real life.

I voted maple w white guard.
But I also love rosewood and tort with white, but that wasn’t an option.

Voted Maple with White but Maple with Tort is also acceptable.

If it was mine, I'd put an Allparts TRO-Fat on there......but a nice maple V-neck would look just as good. White/aged white guards on both!

I've got a white one with a rosewood board that I am putting together and I have ordered both tortoise and black guards for. I thought a white guard would be too white, but from the pictures I'm seeing that is not the case! I'll get a white one too...

Black or white is a tough choice. The first Tele I almost bought was your color with maple/black. I like white with it too though.
Who is the girl in this picture? She looks a little like Laurie Partridge. :D

I'm a little partial to this one. Blond ash with maple.

Easy... get 5 or 6 pickguards of different colours and rotate them as the mood takes you. This way everyone's a winner!
