Can you put a TMB amp a effects loop in a 5f2h?
Might need a bigger chassis.
Got the chassis taken care of
I'm going to try to copy Hoffman amps layout for a 5f2a with a stout tmb front end, then somewhere stuff in the effects loop
I saw a schematic with the tone stack after the effects loop. What is the difference? Before or after?
Can someone please check my schematic?
Somehow, permission is not enabled to view the attachment.
Finally, I had to get on my computer to post this
Still not working
The value of the V1b grid leak is missing.
1 Meg, I'll have to get on my computer to fix that
Fixed the missing Resistor value.
let see if it lets me upload the corrected schematic
One more try
The FX loop level may be a little hot. V1B is a self biased cathode follower with a plate resistor? I would lose the 100K plate resistor. Change the cathode resistor to something like 47K+47K. The output is in the middle of the two, and will reduce the level for the FX loop send.
With the EQ before the loop, you can obviously EQ before the loop. Without the EQ, it's just a clean gain stage feeding an FX loop and it wouldn't be necessary at all because the FX could just as well be before the first stage.
FX loops are best placed after distortion producing stages for the same reason. The 5F2 has 2 gain stages, then FX loop, then output stage. YMMV.
The schematic is a pdf so unless your device can automatically open a pdf for viewing clicking on the link won't work.
