Next step is to spray some flat brown paint on to the crackel
and wipe it off let the rest dry in the cracks.

Now sand it down with 320 real light like.

And there you have it 56 simple steps later a Rat-CASTER!

    Outstanding job Martino!

Like the video [it's a little out of sync but you know that :p] the guitar has an amazing amount of tone with the hidden pup. I ain't never done one like 'at but I am gonna have to give it a try now.

Thanks for posting the techniques and the clip.

I am re-thinking my old tele and a few new ones with a big fat humbucker
    in the neck.
Only thing is I hate the way the neck pickup looks:twisted:

    Problem solved with stealth:lol:

The other thing is Vince AKA Tiapan Tone is on to something too!
I hope to make a 2nd video to help show the range of dark tone.

Nice job! You just need to make sure your tetanus shots are updated before playing.

I too worked as painter for several years. It seems musicians usually end up as self employed house painters.Ha..
I once had a woman want me to make the new orange taricotta tile color paint I painted her concrete basement floor to look aged so I went to the hardware store and bought lengths of chain to bash up the paint and had my skater buddies ride around in her basement.
i'm keeping track of this thread so when I relic a Rondo SX tele i'll have a referance

This is my go to couch guitar of the moment. The body is a cousin to Martino's. It is a one pc pine body that nobody wanted ( sniff) so I had to do it up myself. I chopped an import tele bridge and stuck in the Epi p90 and tele knobs. It has it's own sound.By the way Martino, I named one of our kittens RatRod as a result of this thread. [IMG]

    love the whole thing,
the lp shape is especially way cool.
i wish i had the skills to build something like that,
because i would definitely love having one to play.
    you're an artist!
