Pm me your address and they will be on the way!
If it was going to be a Marine anything, I'd expect it to be able to do two things. Either store booze, or make the f**king grass grow.
You misspelled "kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out."
Quick mockup of the ED&A decal. Decided on gold hardware. Also have gold tuners. Haven't decided on the pickguard. Still looking for someone to make the "Semper Fi" waterslide in Fender-ish script. With the Marine Corps birthday where the serial number would be on a Fender.
Yup. That’s going to look killer.
You do have a point, Marines are best at destroying, drinking and getting every woman in sight pregnant over night.
Is the attachment of a bayonet outside the scope of this build?
Where in the world would I put a bayonet?! Lol!
(Asking for a friend.)
Btw, I'm still trying to settle on something cool for the pickguard. Help?!
I did order the waterslide that says "Semper Fi" with the USMC DOB and my dad's name on it. I'll show you when it gets here.
Two updates: Got most of the parts for the assembly to begin. The pickguard is actually clear and will have some artwork attached to the back
Waiting for pickups and control hardware
Also received an AirMail (Royal Mail...oooh-la-la!)envelope from Rothko & Frost, today!!! I have to say that it looks to be excellent work
I think I ordered the Strat style layout, though. Not sure how I can fix that
That thing’s going to be the cat’s ass.
Love the decal.
I like the decal where the playing arm goes best. This is shaping up to be a really cohesive build. Nice job.
Subscribed. God bless our Marines.
This thread has got me thinking. Wonder if something like his could be done as a fund raiser to help out the Semper Fi Fund, Toys for Tots or other charity sponsored/endorsed by the USMC.
Now you're talking! Charity Build Challenge! Auction of the builds for charity!
I couldn't wait.
The weather is going to start getting good here in Ohio again soon. I'll be able to paint/clear the body and stuff so I'm getting started on it again
Cut down the 50 cal casings to use as knobs. (LPTyler, thank you!!!) Also outlined the footprints on the back. (Oh yeah, I forgot that I didn't tell anyone I was doing that. Lol.) I'll hand paint those in a metallic yellow before clearing over the whole thing.
