I'm taking notes on the hole sizes, depths, and placement. No need to duplicate research when you can steal somebody else's, right? Nice slab of wood, Nick, and well sanded, too! LOL :D

    Thanks.
My workshop is 8.2x8.2 feet and it is located at the roof top of my house, the drum sander is too big to be in there.
The drum only is 26 inches long ,so I had to place it outside my workshop, see no excuse time to make one!!! :p

Nice. Good to hear from you, Nick.
Too bad that one board is split so badly, it's a very pretty, and interesting-grained board. But you used the best color sections in your neck. Is it really as pink as it looks in the pictures of the headstock?

Hi Rick,I hope you are you doing well buddy.
Unfortunately the log was badly split when I got it ,Imagine that when I cut it to slices I found a scorpion in there that I accidentally cut one of his pincer.
Yes you can say that is pink, olive woods differ as there are many spaces, here is a better picture of the log at direct sun light. IMG_20170215_114030.jpg
