This product is brand new to the USACG lineup and is ideal for anyone wanting to dip their toe into building something with their own unique shape.

This might work for me if I were building a Bo Diddley shaped guitar. Otherwise, Ain't Nodoby Got Time For That.

Respectfully, I have time for this, and I think many others will too.

I fail to see the big advantage of a routed blank. I think I last paid around $20 for enough alder to make a 2 piece body. If anyone can bandsaw, route and radius the shape of a guitar... making the neck pocket, control route and pickup cavity is a piece of cake. Getting the string ferrule holes perfectly lined up can be tedious but there are ways to do it.

Of course you are right, however somewhere in that list of ifs some folk might find their answer in a routed blank such as this. At least to dip their toe in.

Yeah, I reckon this pre-routing would save me about one day...which ain’t much considering all my build times so far are between 8 weeks and 3 years...

But hey, it’s cool if you are looking to increase the difficulty in gradual steps!
