Try as I might, I just can't find any UK places that sell the small cutting diameter (3/8") top bearing router bit, like StewMac sells:

    http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tools/Routing_bits/Ball_Bearing_Router_Bits.html

(the second one from the top)

Whilst I can, of course, just buy that one, I'd like to be sure that I can't get one cheaper here in the UK before spending $40 (incl shipping) on that one bit....

Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK (or, I guess, cheaper in the US) where I can find one?

The silverline ones won't stay sharp for long. Most places that sell them seem to do a deal on two or three at a time which might be worthwhile.

Thanks for the suggestions, but you are encountering the very problem I pose with those places: the smallest diameter cutting is 1/2" with those.....unless you can find/see something I can't?? Finding 1/2" diameter is easy! Finding 3/8" diameter: that's the problem.....

There you are, they sell them:

But, with shipping it's still more costly than StewMac! Thanks anyway, though.

At the moment, I am slowly building up a StewMac order anyway, so the chances are I'll just end up buying the bit from there anyway......Unless anyone can find a better deal elsewhere! I've spent a good hour searching for one, and can't do any better.....

    Spot on!

Thank you, good sir. I have now ordered a couple of bits from Wealden.

Wealdon are excellent. There's also routercutter.co.uk which sells Whiteside as an alternative.
