    The butt of many jokes and the shame of the 70's, AMC cars have always been on my short list of ugly cars. But for some reason as of late I'm finding myself oddly attracted to...the Pacer!

    The color, the fishbowl windows, the oh-so-70's design. I must be crazy but it's kinda cool in "retro"spect.

    What about you?

    I always have respect for anyone who drives one of these;

    I saw "Atomic Blonde" over the weekend and there a pacer prominently displayed in a scene where they were in West Berlin. BTW some of the Best fight scenes EVER in this film!

    I had one of these. Mine was silver. I used to decorate the windows for the holidays. It caught on fire driving down Route 287 south one night. I left it there and never looked back!

    I recall that somebody once described the front end of an Edsel as looking like an Oldsmobile after it sucked on a lemon.

    The Cadillac Seville in LutherBurger's post always reminded me of a dog dragging his backside against the lawn.

    I don't have a photo of one, but the late 1970s Datsun B210 fastback always reminded me of a big cockroach. And like
    cockroaches, those things seemed indestructible, they ran forever.

    I remember these cars (and others) fondly. I've never wanted to own one, but it makes my day when I see one on the road somewhere.

    My father had a Lloyd wagon when I was a kid. He drove a family of six around in this little cracker box. No, I don't ever want one.

    His was a pea soup green color. Check out the engine with the gas tank sitting on top of the motor that looks like a large lawnmower engine. Top speed was about 45 miles per hour with only a driver on board.

    Love my old boxy mk2 VW's! Definitely an acquired taste. This was one of mine.

    When I was stationed in Italy one of my Italian friends had one of these I would ride in. Amazing little car. And by car, I mean in the most minimal sense of the word:eek: but I was still happy to accept the ride.:)

    I have an Element that I use for moving gear back and forth to my office. It's ugly but is a great car.

    I find them ugly or appealing. Not both.

    Nice. I owned one of the 1,500 '89 GLI Wolfsburg "Helios" models. It was definitely ugly, but a great car.

    The Citroen and the Gremlin are just the coolest ugly cars ever. The Pacer is in there too.

    I think the VW Rabbit and later the Golf borrowed from the Gremlin design.
