@Tyrone Shuz : let me ask a stupid question: is the first clean section the original melody? Sounds familiar, but -again - I don´t know the original. Your playing is always stunning to me.[/QUOTE]

Yes I did it first and last, just like I was doing the tune. I treated it two different ways. I like the melody a lot, AND it had the added benefit of shortening my solo! :D If I were to play this live (and I just might with this groove) I'd only do two choruses, maybe three if I was really feeling it. Gotta let everyone else solo too (keys, bass, perhaps trade fours w/the drummer). Thanks for the kind words.

... that immediately took me back 50 years in time, because of the guitar sound, I think, that reminded me of those first fuzzed / distorted electric guitars. Fitted well with the bt.

@telefunken - Slash gets down on some Funk!

@udoering - What Tyrone said, great feel.

@estreet - Nice touch interesting you kept changing it up tonewise.

@Mellencaster - Your good ear serves you well.

@Tyrone Shuz - Lovely stuff. Thanks for the track!

@jjpish68 - All snarly and sass. Now we have 3 Marylanders participating!

I like you playing with the double stops; very good melody lines in the second half!

I like the thematic nature, and the real effort to hit the changes, combined with some nice melodies.

Nice improvisation, Paul. For me, the second half sounds better, but can´t tell you why.

@HoodieMcFoodie : hey man, glad to hear from you again! Hope you have time to close up. Well, your version reminds me of the late sixties / early seventies, when the fuzz was invented and became a hallmark of rock music. Nice reminiscence to days long gone.

I fancied getting into this even though I missed it, so here's my take after a few passes trying to suss out the changes. Didn't suss them out ^_^ I know it's an old school I biidm, ii, biiidim sub turnaround but I didn't really nail the overall structure :D

    Great track @Tyrone Shuz!
