Gospel style backer that I have in my big library of backing tracks Dunno who made it though!
Lovely track @NWinther!
Decided to do a clean one too, slightly more appropriate. I've been trying to get this chromatic jazz/sax stuff down for bloody ages and I think it's starting to not sounds completely terrible now!
Thank you for posting it!
I'm pretty sure the creator goes by Althrax! It's really nice track but I couldn't really get it.
Yeah got it from Althrax...but I forgot if it was him or someone else who made it....a great deal of years has passed
Here we go! I did use a little different equipment this time to record. Main guitar is an American Standard Tele w/ Twisted Tele and Broadcaster Set, Budda Superdrive (both Channels and the Bluesdriver model from the ME 80 in the middle section) via the Cabclone. The guitar that comes in later is the St Vincent with the THR 10C´s Class A model.
@alainvey First track: lovely guitar sound, lovely playing. Definitely like that mixture of scales and styles and how you pick up changes in the bt. Second track: the opening is sweet. When I read "clean" I thought "Oh no", but I have to say, you dialed in a very very sweet sound! And yes, playing is far from terrible! The chromatic jazz/sax stuff sounds 98% good to me!
@Mjark : Maybe you didn´t get the first change perfectly, but all the other stuff sounds really good to me. I should say, a well carried out track!
Well since it is sunday.....had a few moments to record before I am off to some family visits...putting some flowers on my fathers grave and such....
Here is my little version....took me back to the old days..haha
@NWinther : nice one! The first half is a little like warming up, the second half is on fire!
I agree, not even a little bit terrible! Very good.
And it sounds great. The guy that started Budda is from here. He or his shop at least used to do work on my old Fenders.
That was a nice take.
And a fine one it is too.
Good stuff as always Mr Winther.
@knh555 : man, that´s great! Two slide guitars with different sounds, playing together, even harmonized! A wonderful track, glad you joined again.
Really nice track Niels, I gave it a shot . The mix could've been better for my take.
As in #154, you have a really nice guitar sound. Something changed in your gear? Lovely playing, too; I like how you reacted to the speeding up in the bt.
@Carl_Tone : I like the way you start it, and then get a little more jazzy, but always "down to earth"; lovely playing! Glad you joined, wondeful track!
