The guitar was not terribly well intonated and the strings are very old, also the approach I took on the A and B chords was ill-advised. I am mostly happy with the other aspects. Took me a while to warm up, especially with a tight track like this.

    Thanks for sharing, Carl!

@alainvey Lots of really nice stuff there and a great filthy sound too - really enjoyed your take on it. It's true that the Am and Bm really have to be 'nailed down' with chord tones, I have found that too when playing over it and its a bit of a challenge to make that bit work well.

i like that sound !! good job//something tastefully raunchy going on there..,man i appreciate when the norm is broken and ones own unique style takes over

Here's my take on it. When I make backings I don't really think about about playing over them till after they're finished (except in terms of leaving the space etc.) so they are as much fun for me as they would be if they had been someone elses. Funk stuff often gives the chance to get a little 'outside' and I enjoyed doing this. '66 Tele and GH250 Di'd again.

My version; not very funky, I think. Telecaster again, Mesa Express again.

@alainvey : your track doesn´t sound very funky also, much more rock / fusion (but do I know funk music?); anyhow, it´s a very nice mixture of styles, those "slightly off" notes being the icing of the cake. Lovely tapping.
@estreet : I think I stop thinking about styles. Like with alainvey, the mixture of styles depending on the chord changes keeps it interesting and entertaining. Good work!
@Mjark : here it is, the wah pedal, glad to hear it! Had tried it myself, but it didn´t sounded good on this track. It does on yours. Your playing is excellent, Mark. Developed melody; I love what you play in the latter half.

Thanks! But after listening to everyone else not do the obvious I decided to remove it. I copied the guitar track and bumped the second one a few clicks forward to fatten it up a little.

Yeah! Very cool. I heard a TV theme in there too I think! Thanks for the nice track.

I think it is. The little steel sounding bend you put in really stands out.

Well, what a funkadelic track! Sounds like a musical mosaic and evokes the question if one is dreaming. Though I am not a fan of fuzz sounds, it has it´s place here; your clean sound is to dream of. Did you use a synth or a weird guitar effect?

Great backing track! If I were to have a comfort zone, this would have taken me out of it. :)
