I have an MIM tele neck, with the modern tuners. I prefer vintage Kluson style split shafts. If I swap Klusons on, I know I'll need to drill new screw holes, but will the Klusons cover the old double pin holes? Also, what size conversion bushings will I need for the front?

I put them on my 2012 MIM and they fit great with conversion bushings. I originally used the large flange allparts, but I just ordered some with a smaller flange. The large flange doesn’t look very vintage. I like not stabbing my finger during string changes and the tuning is good. I would counsel you to make sure that vintage is what you want because there will be 7 holes to deal with if you change your mind.
