PixMix, that GC is 4 miles from me. I will have to go take a look at it.
I don't remember what MSRP was on these but most of us bought them for $380 new on closeout...

Judging by the swapped parts, I would be surprised if those pickups are the stock ones.

Unless the prevoius owner hated them and was happy to see the go...

That's certainly a possibility. However, as it is, it's overpriced.

Definitely way too much $$$ for a partscaster, with who knows what for pickups.

I wonder what's the serial number says it is.

Some tool at GC looked up the Triple Tele, saw the 799.00 MSRP and did the X % of MSRP for used. They could give less of a sheit if it had a Squier Bullet neck on it...

I talked to GC, they have no interest in protecting the buyer, or correcting the mistake.

Well, that's really crappy! At this point that guitar is a pratscaster, even in everything under the hood is stock. Calling it Classic Player Triple Telecaster is a misrepresentation.

Which is why it's important to do your homework prior to buying, especially with a bit more oddball models like the Triple Tele.

Fellow members...anyone know where I can access the chrome knobs on this guit? I like the extraordinary "gription" of these. I bought some Allparts ones (MK0910-010) but they are smoother and not as deeply "knurled". Anyone else impressed with these knobs? Are they standard issue Fender Tele knobs?
    Thanks All

    Speaking of knobs....

the set screws on my knobs are too short or were stripped upon assembly.

I'm unable to remove them, they just spin when trying to remove them.

    Imma just drill them out.

I have speed knobs that go up to 11

You mean someone sold the body and actually kept that neck? My original neck is sitting in a box, gathering dust.

Yes. Perhaps the neck sold separately, I don't know.

Are you not liking the neck?

Nope -- Too fat (too much shoulder actually). That's why I bought a Baja neck for it. It's much more to *my* liking now (and it shed 12 oz too!)

Now it's a tone monster with a great neck. :D
