Trying to find the answer to this question: I know a 59 telecaster was the 1st year for the top loader bridge. I have a 1983 factory top loader bridge that's different from the 59. Does anyone know for sure if Fender used a top loader bridge on any other telecaster before they left Fullerton? I know they exist on other non MIA. models but do they exist on any MIA TELECASTERS other than 59 & 83 ?

I don’t know, but I am having Armadillo make a bridge with compensated brass saddles for my MIM former top-loader (I had my tech drill an otherwise identical dual loader from GFS years ago).
