Looking good Jup!
Excellent Jup! Now do me one favor. Wrap the neck and headstock in foam or cloth and secure with rubber bands. This will help to protect them from hard contacts as you are working on the bridge. Don’t ask me how I know such arcane knowledge....
Looks incredible, Jup.
Wrap the headstock in a huge ball of bubble wrap in case you drop if offa the bannister. . . .
Iron and wet rags at the ready!
Now he'll have a phobia about it
I thought it was tear the bedsheets into strips and boil some water .
Not that I want our pal Jupe to lose sleep over irrational fears, but we’ve been standing here along the racecourse for a looooong time, hoping for a glimpse of the winner. We don’t need any delays caused by Gibson’s Curse.
Yes indeed!!! We could all do with a nice cup of tea after all of this! Congratulations Jupe!!!!!! You are now a father!!
Hip hip Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought that had something to do with Gin
I think we've gone past the bannister stage, but in any case, if it goes over the edge, I doubt bubble wrap will save it...
Heck man, I'm like the iron workers now!
But it's too big and unbalanced and the back is rounded, so I think we need to clear off the bench a bit more and move all operation over there, except for the drilling--now THAT'S where the headstock is gonna be in danger: mighty close quarters at the drill press...
Once again hadn't logged in for a couple-few months, but I wanted to see if Jup was still working on this. I was not disappointed!
I'll be back in like 9 months to see if you're getting close to laying down the DPP yet.
It’ll be done by then, or in the wood stove!
I’m NOT gonna paint it; I’m planning to farm that out to a car customizing shop or something like that, if I can get it done for around three bills. I’m willing to do the sanding prep, even primer, and I’ll do the T-O on the neck, but I ain’t flaking and wet-sanding alla those curves...
So all I need to get done by June is drilling the holes for the hardware and getting it all sanded down nice. If I can take it in for flaking by June, sweet; if it takes until September I reckon I’ll still meet the OFFICIAL DEADLINE of 11:59 pm on December 31.
Whoa! An OFFICIAL DEADLINE!!!
