So, Helmut - how do you REALLY feel about Richlite?
Rog, I am not sure I follow the question
Awesome guitar IMO. I just love the look of walnut, and the whole gold trip just really works for me. As others have said - I'd be too scared to play that in public, plus I'd have to be a faaaaaaar better guitarist to use it
Beautiful guitar. I really want a black walnut guitar.
I'm not normally a gold hardware guy but I think it looks fantastic. I think it will be stunning when it starts getting some wear on it, too. Well done.
This really makes me want to make a guitar.
With a little luck, that work will be done this coming weekend. Are you asking for set up details?
It will be going on Reverb when it's all done!!
When I was younger, had the same issue with my sweat being corrosive, it seems to have changed over time. One theory is I stopped drinking soda decades ago and drink mostly water... not sure though.
It is a fun guitar to play!!
I agree the walnut is unique and beautiful!!
You become a better player when you are inspired to play, sometimes that takes a guitar that inspires you!!
Hey, join the madness, start building your own!!
You really are a finishing ninja! From now on you are John "The Finishing Ninja" Nicholas.
That is absolutely gorgeous!! Great job.
Eek! This is a scary concept, because if you had to play only guitars of the same quality as your playing, I'd have to give up guitar-playing altogether, cuz there ain't no guitars that ugly.
That is a beautiful work of art. I don't want to see any more. For one, I'll never own that beauty, and for two, I did own a really great Walnut Strat with EMG's and a Bird's Eye Maple neck.
Oh the sadness for what I'll never have, and the sadness for what I have lost...
But it's just a guitar, right?
Excellent work. Kudos.
Sounds like there's a story there, but I hope you get your lost love, or a better one, back.
And more importantly, how do you really feel about Richie----Lionel, I mean! (Which is how I misread Roger's post at first.)
It's worse than I made out. I used to play it through a Peterson amp. Now that is what keeps me up at night.
I'll never replace that guitar or that amp. But what a combo.
Just movin' on...
Now I'm a Ninja!! Cool!!
Here I am in all my ninja glory....
Thank you very much oldrebel!!
Yeah, this is me too... I don't even deserve this guitar!! Maybe I should buy one from Toy's R Us??
Thank you for the compliments!!
It is only a guitar... there are millions of them!!
Lionel Richlite... my favorite drummer!!
Sorry to hear of your loss...
I can sort of relate, but it sounds like your loss was more recent then mine.
When I was young and stupid I sold a 1967 Hofner Beatle bass for $125. A 1987 Les Paul Standard for $350. and other bone headed moves...
As you get older you realize that you can't go back and fix stupid... that's why I build guitars!!
Well done ! err Very well done
