I just had a look at the new anderton's eastcoast guitars (no affiliation).
I was pretty shocked by their GT100 model:

I think is the most oughful T-stile guitar I had ever seen. The body shape is not only completelly wrong, but the waty the top shoulder point the neck is very disturbing to me. Not to talk about the fact that the shaper of the pickguard looks like the designer was not aware of the body shape.
I think call it a T-stile guitar is insulting...what do you think?

Nope, it would have to have an Antigua finish to qualify for that.

The proportions "feel wrong" - however, if none of us had seen a Tele, well...

It's not THAT ugly. Certainly not as ugly (IMHO) as the double cutaway Telecaster. It all depends on how it feels in-hand, and how it plays. I could make allowances, if the price were right..maybe TREE_FIDDY. Where is it made...China, Indonesia, Korea ?

I'd hit that.....looks pretty good to me. Reminds me a little of an old Ovation solid-body.(Breadwinner?) I WOULD prefer a rosewood board.
    EDIT: Not Breadwinner.......Viper. Sorry.

I don’t mind it except for the pregnant headstock.

I reserve any 'ugliest ever' for anything finished in antigua.

I don't think it's awful; a bit odd but I've seen a lot worse - usually with pointy headstocks....

    Far from it..
Local GC had some budget offering in a sorta Antigua with this weird bubble ended headstock. I can't find the photo w/ is a good thing, as it would properly cause any number of negative behaviors..

Nothing much wrong with it IMO.

If you think that's 'oughful' you'd probably be better off not looking at Ibanez T styles :)

Growing up in the 70s and 80s, I'd say one with stars and bars all over it (everything was bicentennial marked back then. Remember that?).

There were a few of these tractors floating around when I was a kid - there probably still are some.

I am grateful to live in the United States, but don't think flag elements necessarily make a good paint scheme!

As far as the andertons guitar, I guess I haven't been around teles long enough (to develop the "any deviation more than 3 thousandths of an inch from any original proportion makes for an ugly guitar). Anything close usually looks decent to me. I even like the look of an ibanez talman (though some of the originals were a big ugly - the more recent talmans have more traditional schemes and real wood in them).

I like the one in the o.p., it's kind of like a Telemaster but not as much.

This Yamaha should bother people more:

This is an Ormsby from Australia. Quality wise I'm sure it's amazing, but it's just so odd looking. They do make some killer guitars though. 719hok8okqL._SL1200_.jpg
