Some extremely generous comments here, thank you very much. I'll take the fusion thing as a compliment :D

It was meant as such :D
Another top take from you! The lick at :50 is like one I had in my head and wanted to use, but I forgot, glad someone did it.

Your dynamics are very good - I haven't progressed to being able to adjust levels across a track's duration, and I failed to consider the guitar's volume knob on this occasion. Gives the track a lot more personality.

Good licks all round, but there was one of your trademark 6th licks at 1:48 that I liked a lot.
Thanks a lot for your comments. Re: volume… it’s the very first time I use the volume knob like this, and I think it does a good job. Might go deeper on this, although normally I would have just used a boost/OD. But necessity is the mother of (re-)invention……

    And more comments:

@Ebidis : A very intense, dramatic take. Very much liked the final buildup Excellent! At places it reminded me of Mike McCready of Pearl Jam

@Mellencaster : I loved both the mellow part and the distorted part. In both, you had a great tone (the mellow one was great) and your phrasing was very soulful. Two thumbs up! (awwww… one more exclamation mark to stack up with alainvey’s ones).

@tooloud : the first notes made me grin, because somehow I expected that beautiful rock tone. Then you made that Gilmour bend, and the whole vibe of the tone has shifted and opened up. Until the frantic “all out” solo at the end. Great track sir.

Well, Finally done...at least as far as I'm going. It's such a great backing track by MDent77 that I had a really hard time keeping it simple:) I kept hearing harmony parts all over the place, and just about had to tie my hands to keep from over playing the whole tune. The melody you hear is stuck in my head for some reason...
    Thanks for the ear ;)

@Bullfweet. Your beginning melodic lines reminded me somewhat of ‘Parisienne Walkways.’ Nice! I enjoyed your phrasing a lot. The stereo delay effect (starting at 1:28) was wild. It was quite good.

You're like the opposite of guitar George, though you might well know all the chords as well.

Some Gary Moore allusions at the start there, very nice sounding (Edit: looks like I'm not the only one who noted this). Your tone was spot on, phrasing excellent, and note choice lovely (in fact, if these widely-touted expressions can sometimes appear opaque to non-specialists then your take is a great demonstration of what they mean).

I need to spend some time listening to you, since I detect in your playing all the things I consider to be my weak points.

@MDent77 That you, Sir !!! Coming from you I consider this a true compliment. :) I did listen to a bunch of GM's tunes a few days ago. I'm like a sponge...things come from all over, and most of the time I don't know where. To me...it just sounds like me. And to me that's boring...seems like I've known myself forever...

@alainvey My gosh...I don't know what to say...so, thank you my friend !!! Yes, I do like to make it cry and sing... It's funny, when I listen to each and every take I hear from this group, I feel the same way on many parts...I wish I could do that:)

Bullfweet Very impressive playing Mike , love your interpretation and a very complete recording overall with just little bits of detail on this track that a season player would know .Great work.

Thanks for your comment and for the suggestion , re edited and I have taken out the distortion out ,it wasn't queued in correctly anyways . I put in a less saturated version for the distortion section and balanced out the track

I don´t think that I have ever been so late. One reason ist the heat for sure; we´ve got around 30° C this week, and neither are we accustomed to that here nor do I feel well when it´s so hot. So, what you hear is a take recorded some days ago and some overdubs I did right now, just before the sunrise.

I called this one - of course - Matilda´s Tune. It is full of imperfection and warts, but I like the basic idea. Thanks to MDent77 for this bt.

MDent77, lovely guitar sound with this tendency to feedback. Those arpeggios at about 0:45 are great, beautiful ideas!

Raimonds, what a sound! And no, you did not spoil it with your playing, not at all. Sounds really appropriate on a Gary-Moore-type bt. Over and over I love those fast runs.

Estreet, welcome here, what a convincing debut! That sequence that starts at about 0:48 has such a vocal quality which I really dig! I love your phrasing when you play slow.

Jjpish68, once again I hear this raw power, this hallmark of yours, in playing and sound. The sequence that starts at 2:00 is just great with the jump from the high notes to the low ones!

Mark, convincing sound and nice melodies. I like the changes in playing speed. That little chromatic run at about 2:15 sounds really good.

NWinther, the first notes struck me just because of the guitar sound! Like that mandolin-like passage. Very emotional, dynamic playing, sweet! That bend at 2:22!!

Alanvey, nice jazzy opening! I like your sensitive playing on this. 1:34 is great!! I go with Mdent77, I prefer the first track.

Ebidis, another newbie here, welcome! Like jjpish, you seem to be more on the wild side regarding sound as well as playing. You had some really intriguing notes and tones in there!

RadioFM74, what an unexspected and great opening! You managed a really smooth transition from more classic blues to a Gary-type playing and sound.

Mike, I was very surprised by the guitar sound you chose. Neither typical for the bt nor yourself, but I love it!! Good playing, too. I think you passed the audition without any problems!

Tooloud, alanvey just nailed it with his comment! Nothing more to add. Very, very good.

Bullfweet, that melody you played sounded familiar, but I couldn´t nail it. Lovely sequence at about 1:00 and following! I like how go wild towards the end.

@udoering. I agree, What wonderful use of double stops. Sounds like a smooth finger style. It yields very pleasing results!
