She sure is pertie Mike. Thank you.
Here's mine. Thank you Mike:
Thanks Mike....this is one sweet track
Lovely, dragged out the acoustic and had a bit of a noodle which was 30 seconds of pretty ordinary but I'll go back to it later after my mind has had some time to work on it while I do something else and see if something else comes out
Here is my version, I think the name is appropriate.
Now let´s see if can make something out of Carl´s tracks.
- Nicely phrased and Bluesy all the way through Alan.
- Your sense of drama shines here as you build it up and come back so gracefully.
"Brothers in Arms" was my initial thought, and it stayed with me till the end. Lovely!
- Lovely clean double stops to start. Delay is hard to resist on this track!
The added acoustic guitar makes the track incredibly richer - masterstroke! Mike will love the tremolo (me too)!
@Mjark : You are absolutely right, delay is hard to resist! And I love the way you managed it with the second guitar; it´s a kind of manual delay, isn´t it!?
No I used two out of the box settings in my DAW no amps or pedals on this.
I've attempted it but I can't concentrate on my playing .I got a big fat sinus headache and I think I'm going to lay down for a bit.
@NWinther - The tremolo is cool. Like your bluesy lines here Niels. Impassioned soloing as the track builds. Cool tremolo tail ;-).
@Mjark - I like the duel guitar execution on this one a lot Mark. The slow guitar part adds a beauty to the track.
@udoering - Your playing opens up nicely for me as the track progresses. Cool dbl stops and use of delay Ullrich. Nice riffage as well!
Thank you Ullrich. I've seen references to "Brothers in Arms" on the forum and Mark Knopfler in regards to my playing but I've never listened to "Brothers in Arms" until just now. I knew Dire Straights commercial stuff from back in the day. It was interesting for me to listen to "Brothers in Arms" - it's definitely a kindred vibe to my style. Just goes to show all those distilled musical influences sometimes results in similar vibes. That's my voice though on my track, not an imitation or copy, but definitely influenced by the great ones. Thank you for the awesome compliment!
I'm feeling up to the challenge now .Lovely playing by all.
@Alan L Cole Sweet soft subtle playing but it sang when it needed to and lovely emotive take
@NWinther You've captured the mood of this track from sorrow to happy and that tremolo ,sweet, sweet! Lovely playing Niels
@Mjark Both guitars supported each other well .Smooth and very tasteful phrasing . Sounds like a theme from any giving romance movie
@udoering Lovely double stops and I quite liked how you've built on your track structurally , it enhances the mood of this track in phases .Sweet lines and tone a
Dang, I need to figure out how to do the recording thing to post here. Nice one to take several directions and build.
There's a few ways ,record on your phone and upload it to YouTube or to SC as a audio file.
Headaches are no fun. Glad you are feeling better Mike.
