@Mjark Pretty much what Ullrich said and your tone was very nice too!

@NWinther Sorry we made you repeat this track but it was a lovely second version Niels!

Great wailin' and smookin' tone Niels! Way to cut loose.

Thanks for the kind words, it's pleasant. I should have come sooner. :)

nice clean tone, some cool phrasing remind of JJ Cale

    Well played

I liked the patterns at 2'20 and 2'50. Maybe too much delay to my taste.

Finely played. specially the harmonized part at 3'30 and the tone after 3'55

    Very melodic

great tones and playing. That neck pick up tone (I guess) at 2'20, I dig it

Well this was interesting. I never normally play with this sort of sound or this sort of stuff, don't know the original Satriani track at all (or any of his stuff) and I don't/can't shred. Fun to step out on a limb for a while though.

I appreciate your comments. Interesting, it didn't even occur to me to use distortion; until I heard everyone else's tracks. Didn't know the song; I usually play to iTunes, lots of country. Working through learning soloing over chords changes, fun for me. Clean tone seems to be the only way I can play, and still hear the background music (on full tracks). New to playing with backing tracks, much larger void to fill. Learning something new every day.

No harm was done with the tone you've chose, we seem to learn from each other here and I think Ullrich was more pleasantly surprise that you've made it work.
The thing with these backing tracks they're open to interpretation especially if you're not familiar with artist or genre , so really ,there isn't a right or wrong how you play over the tracks and it's really about the learning and having fun here.:)

@KennyWTelejazz - amazing!! So talented, I listened to it twice:) Curious, how were you able to change your tone to that baritone riff in at 2:10? Thanks for posting.

I was just astonished because of Mike´s comment on your answer. Of course my remark about you playing clean was by not meant to be a criticism, and I did not interpretate your answer as an answer to a perceived criticism. If so, I apologise of formulating mistakable. Being surprised by the approaches of others to a track is one of the benefits here.

I just could repeat what I said to estreets track and cite G-52. Great runs, and not at all "shreddish". I enjoyed it, yes!

Hey Urich, earlier today I had chance to ask Mike about his post while messaging him on another topic. I wanted to insure Mike that I had not been offended in any way by your post. Mike related his only point was that all playing styles are encouraged, and to have fun. We have been on the same page all along, sorry for the confusion:)
