I think our local(ish) mountains are still open - probably not all their runs, but people are still skiing and boarding.

That 4-5 hour snow-free yard on Wednesday was just a tease, but it still counts for something. This is my back patio today.

I’m ready for it to be gone for reals.

It snowed three inches here yesterday and down to 23F night before last, but today felt like spring is here to stay. This will be the fourth time I've said this to my wife this spring ... so far.:lol: This is perfect weather for bucking up the firewood for 2019/2020 season.

Yeah, I'm definitely stoked for the possibility of a cold weather year in the North Americas for a change.

Hiked/climbed at an undisclosed location in Mississippi yesterday for hours, and it never got above 53 degrees. Just wonderful, not to be baked while the leaf cover has not yet filled in. Partially cloudy, plenty of dogwoods and azaleas and water gurgling around shelves of rock. You can go as strenuous as you're capable of and provided you're not overdressed, you're not sweating. Huge trees not showing any signs of climate stress.

I did notice some Illinois plates, there. I wonder if they had seen the forecast last week and just hightailed it South one more time.

It’s gone again. When I left for work this morning, we still had a little snow. By the time I got back home, it had melted. I think our high was close to 70° today. We might get some ice tomorrow.

The weather is staying cooler than normal here, but the snow is slowly receding nicely. However, my wife's relatives in Minnesota and Wisconsin are bracing for yet another major winter storm.
