We got a little in Tokyo on Saturday and yesterday.

A full-size ice skating rink is set up at the local park, the staff had to shovel it clean, which left a huge pile for the kids to play in.

My daughter had been asking every day for two months “Daddy, when is it going to snow?” I let her spend the whole day enjoying it.

We have a vacation house in the mountains, but ironically, it’s inaccessible in the winter due to the snow. It’s cool in the summer, but this time of year we can’t get within 5 miles of it.

In Quebec, Canada, we have had snow, then rain, then ice...
It's -19°C and it feels like -28 °C with the wind.
We're expecting 35 to 40 cm of snow tomorrow!:confused:

Woke up to about an inch of fresh snow yesterday, and it's snowing again now. Turning to rain as the day warms up. Got to drive to Flint later to have a T/E echocardiogram done---hope the roads aren't too sloppy.

Well crap. Schools are closing, road reports sound pretty bad. Might have to reschedule my echo. My health is rather fragile and it's kinda risky to go out in these conditions. Dang it! Already had to postpone it once (it was -14F the day of the first appt).

I actually enjoy winter weather most of the time. It's sucking today.

Blowing about 900 miles per hour here. What 6 or 7 inches we had is being redistributed.

    My mom's basement.
Yes, it's here. The big questions are:
    1. How much will I have left in me to get at trail grooming once 94 feet of driveway has been shoveled.
    2. Will it be a mess for biking via the ice that's underneath it.
If 2 = true, some of my friends will tease me for not yet having studded fat bike tires. This makes enough cancelled school days for make up days in June. I suspect there will not be a lot of learning going on when the kids are required to be there in June.

Snow stopped yesterday, and the rain started. It rained most of the night, and is raining now. Yuck.

I'm not too far north of you---we're getting sleet. Everything's ice-covered. Schools are closed. Roads are treacherous.

    Cancelled my appointment.

Been running my commercial humidifier so much, my carpet's getting wet in front of it!

Oh well, replacing all the carpet in the spring with bamboo and area rugs. Never liked carpet much anyway.

It’s even unseasonably cold and wet in Palm Springs, supposed to be near 70 by the weekend.

You've got my respect. Spent a lot of years working in bad weather. Not easy. Now, easy does it on that shoveling.
