"La Poupee Qui Fait Non." The original by Michel Polnareff (who weirdly resembled Fisher Stevens) was a hit in 1966. Jimmy Page played the guitar in the session. Then it was covered by The Birds, Jimmi Hendrix and a bunch of other groups up to the present day. The best version is this one by Luna in 2006.

The lyrics are about finding a doll that can only say 'no.' He tried to teach it to say 'yes' but no success. Quell Domage! So maybe it's a song about not scoring but there have been other interpretations as well.

what about Plastic Bertrand's song... 'Ca Plane Pour Moi' .. ?

I'll bet heaps of bands have covered that song.... and is probably the only French pop song they know from recent times...;)
