I like it. I even like the colors. But the block inlays are jarring. Shark fins would be more in keeping with the overall vibe, though I think this is the first time I've ever spoken in favor of shark fin inlays. I'm not sure about the bridge either, but overall, I think it's a nice plank.

I really dig the body, but I'm not pleased with the neck.
    And I'm sure I can't afford it.

looks futuristic but I will guess, no compensated saddles, no compensated nut, no locking tuners

I kind of like it, but I think I'll put some new pickups in there. not tele pickups.

If they want to bling it up, then they should've put bindings on it,

I agree... it's like they put all that work into the body, and then just slapped whatever they had laying around on it. Funnier still, when Fender seems intent on installing mediocre humbuckers on everything else.

I can't say it's something I'd rush out to buy but fair play to Fender for producing something different that has an element of modernity / freshness about it but enough familiarity to be recognisably "Fender", at least IMO.

What the balance, playability and sound is like, I have no idea - but you'd expect that the "powers that be" would ensure all is well on those aspects before releasing it to market. Personally, I think it'd look good in brighter / solid colours - or maybe black.

I like it - but it's not different enough, if that makes sense.

I *know* guitarists are a conservative lot, but if you're going to release a new body shape, why stick with established pickups?

I think it is too early to judge it yet. We can look at that pic all day long and assume it is a tele (which it probably is, knowing Fender) but we really have no idea what is under the hood yet. It may not be simply standard tele wiring either.

I actually had one (Aria 1532) it was my first electric, the neck was all wrong - big fat D shaped thing like a baseball bat. :(

I like it, I'd like better in a heavy sparkle finish with some different pickups.

    Outside of the original
Student guitars, and before all the endless variations, the main Fender models- Telecaster, Stratocaster, Jazzmaster and Jaguar all had their own body shape, but also had their own specific pickup types and layout.
This guitar has half the equation.

I dig telemaster offset type guitars, but this one is it for me.
