I saw Bill when he played a festival here years ago. I saw him walking around the crowd by himself, enjoying the other acts. I regret not chatting him up more. Seems like a nice guy.

Wonderful human being. I tried that reverse control plate, but ended up switching it back.

Bill's coming over next month. Got my ticket. Going to make sure I get right down at the front so I can see him play close-up.

    Just posted in another thread.
I saw Bill last night playing a solo show at a small record store in NJ.
I was wearing my old TDPRI shirt. And Bill saw it as he was leaving the stage to take a break & stopped to talk teles with me.
He was a great guy. And he did a great show.
    The wife & I had a blast.
He had both the pine Tele & the baritone plugged straight into a silverface Deluxe Reverb with no pedals, loops or backing tracks. Just Bill & his guitar.
And I gotta say when he did some Mississippi John Hurt fingerpicking blues stuff it sounded like a Martin. But when he plays everything else it does everything you'd ever expect a tele to do.
He said I could check it out after the meet & greet. But my wife was too tired to hang out. So I never did get to play it. But at one point during his encore he did have another guy from the audience come up & play it for a couple of minutes while he soloed on trombone.
