I joined yesterday with a 1955 Gibson ES 175. It's definitely been used but not abused. It needs a fret job as they are well worn. It's headed to my guitar guy this morning, so I probably wont see it for awhile. I'll be eagerly awaiting it's return.

Wow! I just went through the whole thread and what a great thread of lovely GAS inducing guitars! :D I began playing guitar on an old Harmony jazz box in the '60s, so archtop jazz boxes with f-holes always appeal to me. I don't own one right now, but I'm usually GASing for one. One day...

For me, this thread really is about GAS. I'm not much of a jazz player, but when I do play it, I'm happy with the tones I can coax out of one of my teles. Listening to Ed Bickert and Scotty Anderson certainly helps me feel good about jazz on a tele, but still, there's something about a jazz box...:D

Simply gorgeous. I just picked up a ES-125 as well, but a much later thin line cutaway from 1966.

I know this is borderline not a Jazzbox given the doublecut, semi hollow nature of this guitar, but I am getting some fantastic jazz tones out of this rig (at least as good as my limited chops can squeeze out!;)):

Some updates to the Hofner, high iso on this photo doesn't do the color justice(this is the only transparent red I've ever cared for). This model isn't very common, swapped the original Schaller HB for a Benedetto some time ago and recently put the TOM bridge on it so now it has something resembling intonation.

Posted this pic a couple of years back when I bought the amp, but here a welcome occasion for the guitar to get some of the limelight :)
