Will Gill and Walsh play nicely together?
Man I would love to see one of these shows. Unfortunately they aren't coming to Quebec in their tour dates listed
I think it is so cool.
Should be real interesting.
Great! I love the ****'in Eagles, man!
I can't afford to go see them, no new songs so it doesn't matter to me. Same for Zepplin. It would be different if there was some new music to hear.
I have tix to see Vince Gill soon. I wonder when the rehearsals will start...he's booked very heavy :
They had a week of rehearsals last month.
I think Vince already knows the gig.
He and Joe will get along great.
The whole thing tour is a case of, someone will pay us millions of dollars to do our oldies show, let's get a band together, even though half of the band is dead.
Not that I wouldn't do the same, of course, just sayin'.
Personally, I think that them touring with Glenn's son is a slap in the face to both Glenn's memory & legacy as a songwriter and performer.
I have no problem with Vince touring with them mainly because he's an established name and performer. Deacon Frey? WHO???
I think you're getting The Eagles mixed up with Lynyrd Skynyrd. The only member of The Eagles who has passed away is Glenn. The other former and current members of the band are still alive.
Well surely the person who really is getting a slap in the face is Don Felder. I mean he isn't even dead and he still can't get a gig with the Eagles. Come on Henley, give the man a break!
True, but the past 3 or 4 years Bernie Leadon has been doing a few select shows with the Eagles.
As long as Joe is there its cool.
True, and it's good to see him playing with them again. But I think there was bad blood between Felder and Frey and it's a shame they can't put an end to that, even though it's too late for Don and Glenn to be reconciled.
Eh. I thought the best thing was to let it end. Don Henley was pretty committed to the eagles being over. I wonder what changed, he's plenty successful on his own.
I don't know about the kid thing. I saw Paul Rodgers with both his kids and eh...., George Harrison's son the same. It's not easy having a dad who's a certified frigging rock star and now people expect the kid to act the same.
Personally I'd like to see it dead and buried with the grand memories of what they were when they were still making hits. Not what they evolved into.
This is all it's about:
I'm betting Henley is paying less for both Vince and young Frey than Felder would want.
Irving Azoff is what happened.
